Praiseworthy System of the Month

Reckless's System

Introduction

Hi all, my name is Niresh Baboolal, a Durbanite. I started out with a 2ft freshwater tank 26 years ago. Well I just killed everything after every waterchange, yeah used soap to rinse the tank.. I started to question what was going wrong and eventually had good success. I was walking down North Pier in the early 80”s and saw a snorkeller catch a Domino fish. This is where the beauty of marine fish keeping bit me. Must say those were the days when I used to take a bus and collect water and jeez you should have seen the crazy looks I got. Ihave lost lots of livestock back then as info, help and good equipment was very hard to come by. Thanks to SA Reefkeeping and other online resources the hobby is changing and the novice is well equipped. Imaintain 3 buddys tanks and the money it generates helps fund my hobby. Here's wishing all SARK members happy reefing and good success rates.
