Awesome dude, I am so envious. (I'll use my foul language when I see you)

Couple of questions and remarks

1. I dont think you should of sank the whole sump in so low, going to be fairly easy for stones or rubbish to end up in there. Is it not possible to lift is say 300mm above the floor level? It should still be low enough for the rest of your tank

2. I see no draining holes, where would all the water go to? I'm sure you thought of this, just checking with you.

3. Are you still going with glass? I would like to see how you going to join the glass or film to that steel frame, if you dont mind I'd like to see many pic of that process. (it's easier to steal other people's ideas than to waste time in trying to figure it out )

Looking forward to the foul language, Regal

1. I'm also worried about stones etc. I'm going to put cement paving stones around it to lessen the chance of stuff falling in. I'm pretty sure this is the right height as far as drainage etc. goes. I don't want it any higher.

2. The small black upright pipes are all connected to a central drain. The floor is obviously permeable, but big loads of water will go down one of the drains. I don't want to smell rotting detritus underfoot all the time.

3. Yup, still glass. The options are tape or silicone, maybe with a riveted aluminium strip or maybe not. I'll leave that up to the glazer to decide. The steel is uneven enough to make aluminium worthwhile, IMO.

All the tubs are in place. The overflows are drilled in. The floor is compacted. The neighbours have been informed and placated. I'll have the last two glazing quotes in by Tuesday, hopefully. Can't wait for it to be watertight.

I was actually thinking of telling them that today Would make them awfully relieved when I told them it was just coral.

Not much to look at, really. It's also cold and flooded outside, so no pics, kingfish.

Soon, promise

Hi Rob,

I thought I was mad, but you are totally crazy.

I would like to wish you all the best and a huge success with your corals.
Looks like in a few years time, Cape Town don´t need to import corals any more.
What do you think, should I bring my offsprings and we build a nice reef in your backyard?

Anyway, hope to chat soon.

Marcel
